BRIAN SMITH PT, DPT, MBA
Physical Therapy Director
Brian Smith is the Physical Therapy Director at Bone & Joint Physical Therapy and has been practicing in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy for more than 20 years. He has extensive experience treating shoulder, hip, and knee injuries, with a strong focus on post-operative rehabilitation, return-to-sport planning, and long-term performance.
Brian specializes in golf rehab and performance, overhead and throwing athletes, and manual therapy. His approach blends hands-on treatment with targeted strength, mobility, and movement training to restore function and prevent re-injury. He is certified in the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), which he uses to identify movement limitations and build individualized corrective programs for both athletes and active adults.
Throughout his career, Brian has worked closely with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and athletic staff to guide patients safely from surgery or injury back to full activity. He has a particular passion for shoulder rehabilitation (including rotator cuff and labral repair recovery), hip and knee post-surgical care (including ACL and total joint procedures), and helping golfers and throwers move more efficiently and powerfully without pain.
