Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) and golfer’s elbow (medial epicondylitis) are two of the most common causes of elbow pain, especially in athletic people. Other possible causes of elbow pain include olecranon bursitis, which is seen frequently due to trauma or overuse, and radial head fractures which may occur as a result of a fall. An unstable or compressed ulnar nerve is another common cause of elbow pain.

Hand and Wrist Pain
Hand and wrist pain can be caused by trauma, as from a fall, or from overuse. Trauma fractures of the hand and wrist can occur in any of the small bones of the fingers as well as in the bones of the wrist. The scaphoid, a small bone in the wrist, fractures most often and is prone to problematic healing if left untreated.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common overuse injury. Arthritis is seen in the hand and wrist as in other joints. Trigger fingers, ganglion cysts and De Quervain’s tenosynovitis are also very common in patients who are experiencing hand and wrist pain.
